2. Open "Unit 4: Reading Notes - Day 1" in Google Classroom.

3. Read the questions on the assignment.

4. Get a copy of your assigned book, in the basket on the counter (according to the table above), and bring your Chromebook to meet with your book group -- anywhere in the room!

5. Begin popcorn reading today's assigned chapter or pages in your book group. When you are finished reading, answer the questions in the Reading Notes by yourself.

6. When your group is finished answering the questions, share your answers.

7. See today's "Activity" below for further instruction.

What we're doing today:
1. Bell Ringer
2. Community Time
3. Mini-lesson - None
4. Activity - As you continue working on "Taking a Stand Activity - Day 4" think about:

* What is your main character/narrator like? In what ways could you show (not tell) the reader?
* If your character/narrator had different personality traits, how would your story change?
* How does your character's personality traits affect his/her decisions in the story? (Example: If your character is shy or scared, he/she may run away from a problem rather than try to fix it.)

Before you leave class, you will need to answer the questions in Google Classroom based on your own writing.

Homework: If you've been absent, catch up on anything you missed! Everyone should read a choice book!
